From 6 March to 4 November 2018, the exhibition 'Insight Astronomy Photographer of the Year 2016' is on display at the Calouste Gulbenkian Planetarium - Ciência Viva Centre, showing the winning photographs in the international competition promoted by the Royal Observatory Greenwich, UK, and an additional special selection of over 4500 photographs submitted to the competition.
'Insight Astronomy Photographer of the Year' is the largest international competition of its kind, showcasing phenomenal photographs of the night sky and the Universe taken by a global community of talented astrophotographers every year.
The exhibition is the result of a collaboration project between the Exploratory - Coimbra Ciência Viva Centre, the Calouste Gulbenkian Planetarium - Ciência Viva Centre, the Porto Planetarium - Ciência Viva Centre, and the Constância Ciência Viva Centre, with the support of Agência Ciência Viva.
